I promised you that I would share our journey in Kuala Lumpur with my younger brother. It was a last minute plan honestly. If you don't know already, my younger brother is studying and working in Australia. This year marks his 9th year of living in the land down under. Whenever he flies back to Malaysia, his flight would usually go directly to Kota Kinabalu or made a short transit to KL and then to KK. You can count how many times he visited KL. So a few months ago, he decided to book a flight ticket to KL for 3 days. This was also his first time coming to our new home.
From the airport, we drove to our home first and then we went straight to KL. As it was just a short trip, he decided to spend most of his time in KL so we booked two hotel rooms for two nights at Bukit Bintang. Initially, we were thinking about staying at the JW Marriott Hotel or The Grand Millennium. We really wanted to save our time from traffic, so we thought staying at the nearest hotel in Bukit Bintang would be a good idea. We opted for The Park Royal Collection Hotel, just a walking distance from Pavillion.
We arrived at the hotel at around 4.00 pm in the evening. After checking in, we went out for lunch at Madam Kwan's Pavillion. Each of us was so hungry so we decided to order a big portion of fish head curry. It was a blast. After that we went shopping.
Before heading back to the hotel, we went to Bistro 160 at The Grand Millenium. They serves sisha there with some teas and sweets. We got home before midnight and I was already excited to meet the bed. On the second day, my husband and I didn't do much. We drove my younger brother to Batu Caves where he met his friends there, and then went to KL East Mall to kill some time. Zaid and I went to the Naj and Belle Cafe. Unfortunately, they ran out of the famous Watermelon Cake, so we had the Hazelnut Poppy Seed Cake instead.
We went back to Gombak to pick up my younger brother and then headed straight to Pavillion. While my younger brother meeting his other friend there (yes he has a lot of friends), Zaid and I went to Paul where I bumped into Ana, her husband and Nadia. After that, I went to buy a few things and then we all went to the Great Eastern Mall where we had dinner with my family in law.
The last day of our stay, we decided to check out early after finishing our breakfast. Then we drove towards the airport where we made a pit stop at Mitsui Outlet Park. My younger brother decided to do a last minute shopping spree. Thank God we went there early or else we wouldn't have much time to spend at Mitsui.
We arrived at the airport at around 2.30 pm. I was sad to send him home to KK but I'm sure he'll be back again end of this year inshaAllah. I'm really happy that my husband was willing to give me a chance to celebrate eid with my family again this year. Next year we will be celebrating eid in Kuala Lumpur inshaAllah.
That is all for now.
Have a good day ahead, everyone.
