Looking back at last year and the previous year, I can't believe how different this year makes me feel. I was busy travelling last year to a point where I felt tired of packing and unpacking my luggages. Gosh, I even whined about it lol.

But now, I have to admit, I miss packing and unpacking my luggages. Well, I guess the good thing about staying at home is I can finish writing this post about our previous honeymoon trips to Korea and Bali. Yes the long overdue post is finally here!

Just to let you know, this entry is backdated and I wrote this on December 2020.


In 2018, for our first honeymoon, my husband and I decided to go to Korea. Initially, we were planning to go to New Zealand early 2019 but unfortunately Air Asia stopped their route to New Zealand on January 2019. So yeah, we were bummed. Anyway, we stayed at the Hamilton Hotel located in Itaewon for almost a week. If you are a Muslim traveller and you are thinking about travelling to South Korea, Itaewon is the best place to stay cause you can easily find halal food everywhere around here.


We started our first journey in South Korea by visiting the Gyeongbokgung Palace. We took the train there and I think it took us about an hour or so to arrive at our destination. We didn't stay long but we had fun taking pictures and videos at the palace. It was huge and historical too!

I enjoy learning other cultures and I think that has definitely helped me to have an open mind. From my personal experience, people who travels for experience are more respectful towards other people's languages, faith and customs.

From Gyeongbokgung Palace we travelled to the Bukchon Village, Changdeokgung Palace and finally to the Myeongdong Street. My husband's reaction that day was priceless! He was shocked to see that we had actually completed our must-visit-place list in a day haha. The whole day was tiring and fun. We had kebabs for dinner and went back to the hotel to rest.

We didn't do much on our second day. I can't remember what we did but on the third day, we went to the N Seoul Tower. Luckily this time we had a bus that took us straight to the tower. It was a 25-minute journey and it costs us about 1,200 won. Thank God I recorded this on my Instagram lol.

My husband and I also visited the Seoul Central Mosque and it was still as beautiful as the last time I visited. Subhanallah. As suggested by my husband's friend, we also visited the Ewha Womans University and there we found this beautiful red maple tree!
