Hello, everyone. Selamat hari raya. How are you? I hope you had a wonderful eid this year. I know I did and I have been missing the memory of the first day of eid already. Zaid and I celebrated the first 6 days of Syawal in Kota Kinabalu. It was our family's first eid with my adorable niece, Zehra, and for the first time, we celebrated eid as a complete family.

Anyway, I haven't been active on the blog because I honestly thought that I have lost the access to my current blog. Thankfully, I figured out how to work on this new domain.

Now, lets catch up.

We came back to Sabah on the 21st day of Ramadhan. I was relieved that I bought my eid outfits early so we had time to shop for my husband's baju melayu before our flight to KK. Both of my eid outfits this year were from Temu Janji. I have gained a lot of weight since I got married, like really a lot. So it was a challenge for me to find the right dress to compliment my body. I am forever thankful for Temu Janji cause they created beautiful dresses and kaftans that can fit a plus size woman like me.

This year's Ramadhan, I really wanted to focus on my ibadah so I wasn't really as excited as I was last year when it comes to eid preparation. I also decided to spend less time breaking fast at the hotel this year. Alhamdulillah I managed to khatam the Quran on the last couple of days of Ramadhan. I also tried to do more sunnah prayers. Overall, I'm glad I did as much as I could this Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah. May Allah accept our good deeds.

My younger brother came home a few days after our arrival. I was very excited to see him cause I asked him to bring me a few of Charlotte Tilbury's makeup products from Australia. I'll share the products in the next post insha'Allah.

The first day of eid wasn't as I expected. We were in a rush especially me cause I had to cook Nasi Tomato that morning. Thank God I made sure everything was ready for my husband the night before. That morning was all about making sure our dishes ready. I made Ayam Masak Merah, my younger brother cooked Daging Masak Ros, and my mum made us Daging Masak Kicap and Daging Masak Rendang.  It turned out to be a success.

After eid prayer and lunch, we went to Bongawan to meet the rest of our family members. We arrived in the afternoon and as soon as we finished the eid greeting session, we had a family photoshoot. My dress was true to size so I didn't want to eat too much as it would make me feel a little less comfortable to sit. Later, we went to my aunt's home and then to my paternal grandparents home.

We went back to the city at night and arrived at our home at around 8.00 pm. We didn't do much on the second day of eid. On the third day, my husband and I dressed very casually and went on a cafe hunting.

I went back to Kuala Lumpur on the 7th day of Ramadhan. My younger brother came along with us as he wanted to meet some of his friends in KL. I'll share about that in the next post insha'Allah. That is all for now. Thank you for reading. Have a good day, everyone.
