I just came back from Sabah yesterday, alhamdulillah, and today I have time to blog before Zaid and I go to Ampang later for a gathering ceremony. We arrived at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport last Saturday. It was a smooth flight. As soon as we collected our luggages from the conveyor belt, we went to the OldTown Restaurant at Level 1 to have our late lunch there.
The main reason I came back to KK this time was to attend a meeting. I had the meeting on Monday and it was three-hour long. After covid, sometimes the team and I would have our meeting online but since this meeting was with an individual outside of the company, I had to physically be there to discuss few important issues.
I also had time to spend with my friends on the last day of my stay in KK. I met Mariam and her kids on Friday afternoon. We had our catch up at the Hyatt Regency. It was fun meeting her. I really admire how well she manages her kids. We were talking non-stop — from the topic about pregnancy, to parenting. I listened attentively and took some notes in my mind haha. We said our goodbyes that evening and went our separate ways. Zaid and I went to BTC Inanam after that to have our dinner with my family. After finishing dinner, I went to meet up with Ana at Starbucks City Mall until almost 10.00 pm and then we went home.
It was really good to see my friends. I don't usually have this kind of privilege in KL. One of the reasons is because of work, and also timing. I work from Monday to Saturday, and actually live far away from my friends in KL. So the only free time I have is at night but Zaid won't allow me to drive home late. So, to meet up, I really have to apply for a day off and meet up with them during the daytime. On Sunday, I would usually spend the day with my husband. We either go out for a movie date or just stay at home.
So, that is the latest update for now. I'll end this post here cause I still have to pack for our trip to Ampang. I will update more soon inshaAllah.
